In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Kents and her team at Medical Aesthetics of Muskoka would like to reassure you that the safety of our patients, clients and staff is paramount.
We are currently booking all medical treatments available at MAOM, including injectable filler and neuromodulators, laser services, microneedling, peels and our our full offering of medical-grade facials. We continue to operate under the strictest safety precautions and sanitary measures.
The dermatology part of Dr. Kents’ medical practice is deemed an essential health care service, and we will continue to deliver those services throughout any lock down periods. Upon request, many appointments can be offered virtually.
As a medical clinic, we have always practiced extensive infection prevention and control procedures within the clinic. We continue to keep up to date on any recommendations from Public Health in regards to best cleansing and sanitizing practices. After significant preparation and consideration, we have now introduced a few modifications to our clinic operations in order to continue to provide safe and professional aesthetic treatments, as well as dermatology consultation and care.
Virtual Care: we have transitioned to offer free virtual aesthetic medicine consultations in order to create individualized care plans before your in-clinic treatment. This will allow us to reduce your in-person time in the clinic. Dermatology appointments will also be held virtually as much as possible, with in-person visits scheduled on a case-by-case basis.
Scheduling: we have implemented longer times for appointments, thus reducing the number of patients and clients present in the clinic at one time, as well as allowing additional time to clean high contact surfaces between patients and clients.
Registration and Payment: We have modified our check-in and check-out procedures to reduce the number of patients and clients in the clinic at one time. COVID-19 screening of all staff, patients and clients occurs prior to anyone entering the clinic. All individuals who screen positive for COVID-19 symptoms or risk factors will be immediately rescheduled. We encourage touchless methods of payment, such as etransfers, but still accept all forms of payment at this time. We discourage the use of cash payments if possible.
Social distancing, hand washing and personal protective equipment (PPE): Social distancing will be respected whenever possible. Numerous hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the clinic. All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE throughout the clinic day. Clients and patients are required to wear a mask within the clinic, and we ask that you bring your own mask or face covering. We recognize that there may be instances whereby wearing a mask is not possible for patients and clients, and these situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Rest assured that our staff are vigilant with their own PPE use which reduces any risk of transmission within the clinic.
Below you will find some fact sheets from Public Health Ontario, as well as Canadian medical associations and organizations, that detail best practices regarding COVID-19.

We look forward to providing you with ongoing care through Medical Aesthetics of Muskoka.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kents and the MAOM team
